The Linn Family
The past two days have made big progress for Lindsey and Hollis.
Lindsey has been at home working on her own recovery, while Jeff stays at the hospital overnight to be with Hollis. Lindsey also took a turn at the hospital today so that Jeff could work. They both deserve awards for the love and care they are still able to maintain after the stress and lack of sleep they've both endured the past two weeks.
The big and great news of the past 48 hours is that Hollis made great strides yesterday with the breathing tube being removed and she has successfully been breathing on her own again. We are all hopeful that this upward trend will continue in the weeks of recovery to come. But much like watching a market report that is steadily moving upward, there are ups and downs along the path, and a transplant recovery will incur the same adjustments as the body heals and accepts this new foreign organ.
But we are hopeful that along with Lindsey's liver, her strength and love have also been implanted into Hollis and she will continue to recover day by day.
Please continue to send your healing energy, prayers and support as there is still a long road ahead.
