Today we received the results of John’s PET scan. Unfortunately, the scan confirmed what we feared—the cancer is back, and it has shown up in a few places. Remember the last update I said I really wanted the Petscan approved… well since the Signatera test was positive meaning cancer is back the insurance finally approved the scan!
We met with both his oncologist and radiologist today to walk through the results. Next, we want to consult with the oncology team in Duarte to coordinate and come up with the absolute best plan of attack moving forward.
This sucks. There’s really no other way to say it.
Thank you all so much for standing by us, checking in, and supporting our family as we navigate this next chapter. We will keep everyone updated as the treatment plan comes together.
