We are keeping our eyes locked on the prize, and the plan for our California mission is officially in motion. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have locked in our travel arrangements to the City of Hope in Duarte—proving that with a sharp strategy, we can face any logistical hurdle thrown our way.
As we prepare for this critical next step, the physical toll of this battle is becoming more real than ever. John’s body is fighting a massive, successful war behind the scenes, but the emotional and physical weight of this journey means our home front requires a total lockout on stress.
To give John the best possible shot at this clinical trial, my role as his primary caregiver has to evolve. I am officially utilizing Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) to focus entirely on guarding my own mental health perimeter. When you’ve been the anchor for this long, you have to ensure your own boat isn't taking on water. Protecting my peace and keeping my mental clarity sharp isn't just for me—it is the only way I can keep this ship steady and navigate the complex medical miles ahead of us.
Where We Stand & What We Need:
Our focus is entirely on funding the remaining pieces of this California trip, specifically lodging near the Duarte facility and ground transportation. Every dollar raised directly protects our perimeter and allows us to focus 100% on the medical offense.
