First, some incredible news from his lab work: John’s latest Signatera ctDNA test came back at 0.00! For anyone unfamiliar with Signatera, it’s a hyper-sensitive blood test that checks for microscopic circulating tumor DNA. A 0.00 result means there is zero detectable cancer DNA in his bloodstream—which is the best news we could ask for right now!
On top of that, his recent CT scan and MRI both came back completely clear with No Evidence of Disease (NED)!
The one frustrating bump in the road is that we are currently on denial #4 for his PET scan from insurance. We are still fighting for it because in John’s past history, a PET scan was the only imaging that originally caught his recurrence and spread when other scans missed it. While his clear blood work and CT/MRI give us immense comfort, getting that PET scan is the final piece of mind we really want. We aren't giving up on pushing it through!
On a personal note, John is feeling so great! He is actively regaining his strength and building his blood counts back up. He’s feeling energized and is so ready to try to return to work. We are reminding him that after a two-year journey, he needs to take things slow and pace himself—he can't just jump right back into his old speed overnight, as much as he wants to!
Thank you all so much for your continued love, positive vibes, and support through every step of this journey. It means the world to us! ❤️
