We’re on Day 20!
Jesse is showing huge improvements in his strength! ❤️🩹 He continues to gain more feeling / movement in his legs and has full use of his arms. 💪🏽He’s getting so strong that he is required to be restrained in the bed… which he HATES.
He really wants to get out of here & he begs with arm motions constantly for somebody (literally anybody who walks by or walks in ) to help him escape.
This shows that the IVIG treatment was successful ❤️🩹🌟
He is still on the ventilator and mildly sedated, as they are trying to get his lungs & oxygen saturation good enough for him to breathe on his own. We are hoping to see that happen this week as he is on day 16 of the vent. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yesterday was the first day of his plasma exchange. That means he is on a machine that takes blood out of his body, cleans it and puts it back in. That will take 10 days.
As much as we were all loving getting visitors… he shouldn’t have visitors during the plasma exchange process ❤️
