From Jme-They have lowered the sedation quite a bit. He is super freaking strong lol all those things are great. He’s super Duper frustrated because of not being able to communicate… He wants the tube out obviously and doesn’t want to be restrained, which is also understandable. However, his right lung, which was very cloudy in the x-ray showing pneumonia has cleared up, but now it is in the left lung… So it’s like we solve one problem and then another one pops up a couple days later
I’m gonna see if they’re gonna put him on another round of anabiotic? He doesn’t have a fever and WBC is normal .
Dr. said they may have to do another bronchoscopy
Which they did the first day on the right 🫁.
Today what we want, is to continue to lower the % oxygen that the machine is giving him and his peep… (Which is the amount his lungs are inflated) It is currently at a 10 we need to get that down to a five and we need to get his oxygen-they’re pushing in - down from 60%to 40%.
Then they will do a breathing trial to see if his body is ready to come off the vent.
On Tuesday, tomorrow, the 22nd the neurologist and the doctor will decide if they feel the IVG did its job… And then decide if the plasma exchange is necessary.
