Well after 13 months, Sky has made it to the end of primary treatment!

She had her last primary chemo session on Monday which went smoothly. We are so full of joy for this moment. Watching her play with another young child at church on Sunday was one of those moments I feel emotional at her just getting to do something normal and how far she has come in this time.

Sky will remain in the final maintenance phase of treatment until November 2027. This will be a chemo treatment every 3 months in the hospital, a monthly check at the hospital, and also a daily at home oral chemo (this is a very small dose though so nothing like it has been). Of course to get the all clear Sky needs to remain in remission until October 2030 but her doctors are very confident she will have a positive outcome.

We’re looking forward to this next season of life for Sky, and the rest of the family. We’ll be heading down to Florida at the end of August for two weeks which will be the first real holiday we’ve had in 2 years so we’re all very excited for that.

I will still send some updates during the maintenance phase to let you all know how Sky is doing.

We’re thankful to you all for your prayers, love, and support. Most importantly we are thankful for a risen saviour that has already won the ultimate battle no matter the future for us in this life, and we pray that Sky will grow to know him and receive the true healing that only he can provide.
