Sky is now 2.5 weeks away from the end of delayed intensification, and whilst she has done better than we expected over the last 8 weeks (with a 2 weeks break/delay for recovery time), she has been very unwell and sad for most of it. She has had two platelets infusions in the last few days and we’re expecting a blood transfusion on Monday. It’s just a rubbish time really with lots of tears and her feeling awful but we’re nearly there. The medical team are very happy with how she is doing and she’s surprised them that she hasn’t needed to be admitted as an in-patient so far this phase. Please pray for strength for her for the remainder of the phase.

One more primary treatment phase to go after these next two weeks (IM2 lasting another 2 months) and then we’re into maintenance!

We have Elijah’s birthday coming up on May 3rd and his gift list is extensive and changes so regularly it makes it difficult to buy something that makes the cut for more than a few days. We’re looking forward to it and will try to make it a fun day even with Sky feeling so awful. It’s hard to believe that we are soon to have a 6 year old boy that isn’t even our oldest. Life goes fast but the last 18 months have gone in a blink of an eye since moving. God willing, we’re hoping that the next 18 months bring a little less chaos!
