Brooklyn's bilirubin has finally come down enough this week for her to begin receiving the chemotherapy she has been unable to receive until now. This is a huge step forward in her treatment.

One of her liver enzymes is still quite elevated, and her oncologist is still unsure of the cause, but they are continuing to monitor it.

We're hoping for a quiet, restful remainder of the week with no unexpected trips back to the hospital before next week's appointments.

July 8th will be a big day for Brooklyn. She will receive chemotherapy, undergo a spinal tap, and have a bone marrow biopsy. The bone marrow biopsy will determine how her body is responding to treatment so far.
