Update: Brooklyn had a really good day yesterday. She had a couple of nurses from when she was at the burn center stop by to visit her. She really enjoyed that. We went for a short walk and sat outside on one of the garden terraces here. That was the first time she had left her room since we arrived last Friday. Katelyn and a friend also stopped by last night. It was a pretty uneventful day. 

Brooke's spunkiness has continued today. Her appetite is coming back, which is definitely a positive. Brooke asked to have her hair cut today since it's been really falling out. We cut about 15 inches off. We plan on donating her hair. The neurosurgeon stopped by to explain the procedure to have the ommaya reservoir placed under her scalp. That surgery is scheduled for this coming Monday. Unfortunately, the steroids have caused her blood sugar to spike, so she will have to monitor her blood sugar and administer insulin.
