Prayers for Relief

One of the side effects of Liam's chemotherapy is painful mouth and gum sores. Up until now, we've been so thankful that he hadn't really struggled with them, but last night they hit hard. Seeing him in tears because his mouth hurt so badly was heartbreaking.

When the sores are this painful, eating becomes a challenge. On my way home from my workout this morning, I grabbed him a protein-packed smoothie from Scooters, hoping it's something he can tolerate and that it helps him get some much-needed nutrition.

Most of all, we'd love your prayers. Please pray that these sores heal quickly, that his pain eases, and that he's able to eat and drink without hurting.

And if you're ever driving by and happen to think of Liam, a smoothie would absolutely make his day and help him more than you know. It's one of the few things that doesn't seem as intimidating when his mouth is hurting.
