This Mother’s Day feels different than any before. This past week, Liam was diagnosed with brain cancer, and suddenly our world changed in ways I never could have imagined and (for those who know me well) planned for.

Today, my heart holds so many emotions at once — heartbreak, exhaustion, hope, and more love than I can put into words and (very unlike me) those emotions can come out at times when I least expect them. I’m learning what it means to be a “cancer mom,” a role no parent ever wants, but one I will carry with every ounce of strength I have for my child.

As I hold Liam (13) close through this fight, I’m also holding tightly to his siblings — Miles (17), Ronin (11), Blakley (10), and Elias (8) — who are walking through this difficult season with so much courage and love. They are hurting too, and I’m trying every day to still be the Mom each of them needs while we navigate this new normal together.

This Mother’s Day won’t be about flowers or celebrations. It’s about gratitude for every moment, every hug, every laugh, and every person helping carry us through.

To our family, friends, community, and everyone who has prayed, checked in, brought meals, helped with the kids, donated, or simply loved us well — thank you. You are helping hold me up when I feel like I may fall. You are helping hold our entire family up.

Please continue praying for Liam and for all five of our kids as we face the road ahead together. 💛

And Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mamas. ❤️
