Today I was at tennis camp with the 3 youngest kiddos. After spending some time in God's Word, I switched over to reading my new book, A Parent's Guide to Childhood Cancer.

A lady nearby noticed a book in my hand and asked if I was reading something interesting. I hesitated for a moment and then replied, "Well, it's interesting because my son was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, and someone sent me this book to help us navigate this journey."

She immediately asked if she could specifically pray for Liam, Steven, and me; Adding our specific names to her prayer list in her phone. She also asked if she could add Liam to her church's prayer list. 

In my many years of carrying books around, I don't think anyone has ever asked me what I was reading before, and what could have been an awkward conversation turned into an incredible reminder of God's goodness and provision.

The Lord works in the smallest and most unexpected ways. Throughout this journey, He continues to place people in our path at just the right moment to encourage us, pray for us, and remind us that we are not walking this road alone.

Thank you for continuing to pray for Liam and our family. We see God's hand at work every single day, often in ways we never could have imagined.
