4.5 liters of fluid were removed from Caleb's abdominal area on Friday afternoon. He was fully sedated for the procedure. On Friday morning shortly before the procedure concerns arose that there may be an infection in the fluid. It was decided that after the paracentesis Caleb would be admitted to the hospital to receive intravenous antibiotics. He stayed at the hospital Friday night and will stay again tonight (Saturday). When all signs of infection clear up we will bring him home. It has been a long ordeal but Caleb has been peaceful through it all. Joe has been at the hospital the entire time caring for Caleb and being his “voice” with the staff. Caleb continues to be treated with kindness and gentleness by all. We are so thankful.
