Yesterday 10/31 was kinda full of ups and downs for Weston and mom/dad. Weston gets really mad and his heart rate would drop anytime he would be moved for roatations or diaper changes. The heart docs were not liking that. We had a very good nurse who pushed for a med change and a blood transfusion. The nurse Nora also said she would not bring him to MRI if he was not comfortable moving. Meds were changed, blood transfusion was done and Weston seemed to calm down. Still did not do the MRI instead they did a EEG over night.

The heart transplant docs had a very long difficult chat with Ty and I. They said that it is looking like Weston will need to go on a VAD (heart pump) here in the next few days if he does not start responding and getting better with the meds. They explained the process of the heart pump and also explained the process of a heart transplant. They said that if/when they get him on the transplant list he will be listed at the highest level due to how sick he is. The docotors believe that the chances of his heart healing its self a very slim but we are hopeful that he can heal himself. We know he is a strong little guy and he has a big prayer group out there praying for him.

Weston was stable overnight last night, he did have to get his catheter back in due to fluid retention in his bladder which can happen from the sedation meds.

Ty and I got a hotel so we could get some good rest as Riggs is coming for a few days so we will need some energy to keep up with him!

Thank you everyone for the continued support and prayers we appreciate it more than you can imagine. My uncle has taken my horse for the time being so that has been nice knowing I don’t have to worry about one more thing!
