62days of being in the hospital, 55 days of transplant list, 48 days on the Berlin heart

Been awhile since the last update but this momma had been busy enjoying her time with all her boys in the city and then back home for a few days. Weston was baptized on December 22nd by our home town pastor Rick and we are so grateful for him making the drive for our boy. Dr. Rodger’s told us that Weston did get an offer on a heart but did NOT get the heart as it went to another child who had been on the list longer than our Weston. So we keep waiting patiently for the perfect heart for our boy. Weston is having problems with his heat rhythm lately where it beats too fast and then goes back to his normal rate, he was started on a few new meds to help with that, one of the meds has been messing with his blood sugar levels so he will get that checked out every 4 hours for the next few days.

Christmas in the hospital was different but that’s ok, Riggs and Weston both got many presents from the hospital and family. I spent some time at home with my side of the family and at home with my boys. Riggs had his 2 year checkup and he will have an echo done of his heart in January as a precaution. Doctors want this done to make sure he is all good as this could possibly be a genetic thing, but they don’t know if that was really the cause of Weston’s heart failure.

We are so thankful for all the great people we have supporting us and praying for our boy. We sure hope 2026 goes way better than the end of 2025 went! New year for a new heart!
