Hi everyone! Yesterday has officially become the best day of my cancer battle so far! 

We got my official pathology results back and are excited to share the good news with you. First, we got clear margins which means surgery removed all the cancer! Secondly, it was confirmed that my lymph nodes are completely benign- no cancer and no spread! This means I won’t need any additional surgeries unless a cosmetic revision surgery is needed down the road. 

I do have more treatment ahead of me since my type of breast cancer (triple negative) is the most aggressive. That includes nine rounds of immunotherapy and potentially a hormone blocker. These are all precautionary to ensure we truly beat this cancer and are the standard of care for my type. But compared to what I’ve already been through, these will be a breeze. And even with these upcoming treatments, I am still able to return to work in January. 

Otherwise, I’m healing well from surgery. It’s definitely painful and restricting, but my tissue remains healthy and no signs of infection. Truly, everything is going well so far.
