RSVP for Damon's Celebration of Life - Two Ways to Join Us

Hi all,
I hope this update finds you doing well and thriving in the best way possible. Life here is different. Everything is either a first or a last and I'm finding my way through both with grace most times and other times with the utmost disdain for life, death, and all that both ask of me.

In other words, I'm doing the best I can with what I've got. Living in 10 minute increments and being rather unapologetic about it. Like I said, life here is different.

The one party I hoped I would NEVER have to plan is Damon's Celebration of Life. And yes, I'm referring to it as a "party" because I think that's what he would want. I think he would want me to invite people to come hang out and "chop it up" (his way of saying let's catch up on life). I think he would absolutely hate being the center of attention, but I'm going to do it in a way that I think he would be okay with. Lot's of love, light, and laughter.
Lot's of celebrating who he was and what he did in this lifetime.
If you want to join us, please READ THE OPTIONS CAREFULLY and only RSVP for ONE of them. You don't need to RSVP for both.

DATE: September 12, 2026
TIME: 2pm to 3:30pm Central Time

ONLINE CELEBRATION
If you are unable to attend in person, we are going to do our very best to livestream the celebration on Zoom the day of the actual in person celebration. This requires a lot of logistics, so this is not a guarantee and we cannot tell you what you will or will not be able to hear, see, or truly experience. But we are going to do our best.

IN PERSON CELEBRATION
If you will be joining us in Pensacola, Florida for the in person celebration, please keep in mind the following things:
1. Space is limited. Family will be given priority. 

2. We ask that you wear GREEN to honor Damon's favorite color, the Heart Chakra, and his  dedication to living a life filled with love and seeking truth (the word truth in Spanish is verdad; the word for green in Spanish is verde and he spent a full 30 minutes one morning at 4am telling me about the connections he sees in their similiarites). If you knew him, you knew he was a dot-connector and lifelong etymologist and word wizard). 

3. It's on the beach, so dress comfortably. In other words...dress down; wear your sneakers and comfy clothes -- jeans are welcomed.

4. You must be on the RSVP list -- even if you are family, so don't skip this step.

For the traditionalists among us...I know it is customary to send flowers when someone passes, but instead of sending flowers I'd like to give you the following ways to donate to the celebration of life or to a scholarship fund being collected in Damon's honor. Here's how you can do that:

1. Donate on this support page and indicate that you'd like this to go towards the celebration of life or towards a scholarship.

2. CLICK HERE to donate to the scholorship fund for the Sacred Makers Soul Retreat that Damon and I run each year in New Hampshire. 

3. CLICK HERE to donate directly to the Yoga Well Institute in Damon's name. Yoga Well is where Damon completed his Yoga Therapist program and several other courses and classes over the years. He LOVED this community and the Viniyoga tradition. Be sure to let them know your donation is on behalf of Damon Givehand.
