Chemo: Round #1
It was an 8 hour day! Labs, onc consult, more labs, lots of waiting and finally, pre fluids and chemo infusion. Left with a portable chemo pump for 46 hours.
I felt great all day! 🙌 🙏🏻 I enjoyed meeting new people and learning about what the next 6 months will be like. It was a bit like being a freshman at a new school.
Thank you to every single person who has been praying for me and our family! Thank you to Alisa and her girls for generously coming to spend the afternoon with our kids! Thank you to Brad for bringing Duane to be with me. Thank you to everyone who texted today with prayers and encouragement.
I have especially loved all the texts, DMs and cards from friends and students from my past chapters in Sonora, Modesto Academy, Barnes & Noble, Newbold, Pacific Union College, Loma Linda Academy, La Sierra MA program, Vanderbilt Advocacy Training, and all the friends made through our autism journey and teacher friends I've made as I subbed in MNPS. I kind of feel a little like George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life." Thank you all for being such amazing people and taking the time to connect. I love you all! 💕🙏🏻
