This one feels big.

Pippa has been working so hard on standing, balance and getting her little body to do what she wants it to do.

And now... steps.

Real little steps.

She is using derotation straps at the moment, which help with the way her legs are positioned and give her a better chance of finding the right movement pattern as she learns.

Her physical therapist has been working incredibly hard with her too, and watching the two of them together makes it very obvious just how much practice sits behind a moment like this.

That is the bit a short video does not really show.

These few steps are the result of session after session, repetition after repetition, lots of encouragement, and a little girl who keeps trying.

Nothing about this has been automatic for Pippa.

She has had to work for it.
And she does.
Over and over again.
So yes, we are absolutely celebrating these steps.
Not because they tell us exactly what happens next.
Not because they suddenly change the diagnosis.
But because they are hers.
She earned them.

And seeing that huge smile on her face while she was doing it made all of us just a little bit emotional.

Go, Pippa Lou. ❤️
