The Enterline Family
Dear friends and family, unfortunately I am writing this letter to all of you with tears in my eyes and a broken heart.
Over the last nine months, Britt and I got married in Hawaii, went on multiple camping, fishing, gold mining trips, and have gone on all kinds of great adventures together with little Goldie May in mommy‘s tummy. Every time we saw little Goldie May on the ultrasound, she was either kissing mommy’s tummy, sucking her thumb, or her whole foot. The journey we had was amazing and perfect in so many ways, we will always cherish these times.
Goldie May was born on May 29 at 1:51 AM. Britt labored for a long time, but stayed at 7 cm. Our home birth team made the call that it was time to go to the hospital. Once we got to Barton (after a wild ride on Kingsbury grade) Britt was officially at 10 cm. We were very happy to have a natural vaginal birth. Britt pushed for 20 minutes, and out popped Goldie May. When Goldie May was born, she did not have a heartbeat. She had the cord wrapped around her neck multiple times. The staff at Barton acted quickly, and after about 17 or 20 minutes, miraculously (after begging God) her heart started again.
She was rushed to Renown where Britt and I, and our family got to spend four days with her by her side. We got to give her lots of kisses and sniffs, and tell her all the stuff that we love! I told her lots of bedtime stories, sang her lots of songs, and we listened to lots of Christmas songs and Hawaiian music. The staff at Renown was phenomenal and really made us feel comforted. Unfortunately, little Goldie May did not have any brain activity, and that put us in an awful situation. Goldie May passed away in my arms at 8:35 on June 2. I was listening to her heartbeat on the stethoscope, and she is now in Jesus‘s kingdom waiting for us.
Please know that we are just devastated by our loss, and we really appreciate everyone’s support. We can’t even think about how we’re going to get through this day, let alone the next year, and the ongoing years after that. Little Goldie May has our back and yours too! Thank you for your prayers. We love all of you, and we only have one choice, and that is to be the best we can be because Goldie May wouldn’t have it any other way.
Love, Tim and Britt Enterline
