We want to share a brief update as we navigate an incredibly painful and uncertain time with our baby girl.

Right now, our focus is being with our daughter and being together as a family.

We kindly ask that people please do not call, text, or ask questions at this time. While we deeply appreciate the love and support surrounding us, repeated questions and conversations about what happened are overwhelming right now and not supportive to our healing.

We also want people to know how deeply grateful we are for our home birth team, whose wisdom and experience helped guide the decision to transfer care when it became clear additional support was needed. While there are still not clear answers about exactly what happened, we do know this was something sudden and unexpected that could not have been predicted or prevented, even within a hospital setting.

If and when we feel ready to share more, we will do so in our own time and in whatever way feels right to us.
