Matt was readmitted to the hospital on July 10th, with more pancreatitis issues. After a grueling day spent in the ER and a night spent in a different unit, he was able to get transferred to a room with nurses he'd had before. The familiarity was a huge help as it provided a sense of peace in the middle of a lot of turmoil.
On Tuesday 7/14 the GI surgeon did a procedure that fixed an issue with the feeding tube (likely a big part of where the pain was coming from), and put in a couple of stents.
After several more days of making sure he's getting the right nutrition, the plan is for him to come home again tomorrow, 7/20!
I had disc replacement surgery on 7/16 and all went well. The incision is in my throat so eating is a little challenging, but overall I'm doing fine and am thankful to be past the surgery. My left pointer finger is still numb, but I'm hoping the nerve will be able to heal so I can have the strength and feeling back in that hand/arm.
Thanks again for all your support, in the many ways you're showing it 💕
