Hi everyone - Deepest thanks to each of you for helping us with such generosity and care. We are truly overwhelmed by your kindness.
Matt was finally released from the hospital June 6th after being there for 25 days (42 in total including the other two hospital stays). He is using a GJ tube for nutrition as he patiently waits for his pancreas to calm down enough to start working again. His follow-up visits in the coming weeks will help determine length of time with the GJ tube and next steps.
Amidst all of this with Matt, I managed to strain my back and now have a herniated disc, requiring surgery. I am scheduled to have C6-C7 disc replacement surgery on Thursday, July 16th.
Your help has kept us, and continues to keep us, afloat during this unexpected and difficult time. We're incredibly grateful for each of you.
