Our Family's Busy and Exciting Journey Continues!

We've been busy with school and new activities, so It's been a bit since our last update!

Cristiano is LOVING school and putting in a lot of hard work. He hass also started MNRI (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration, a therapy program). Here are two helpful links with more information about MNRI:
Meet MNRI Specialist, Trina Deiss - YouTube (not his therapist just an informative video)

As you may remember, during our NAPA intensive he worked on a communication device ( AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication, systems to help with speech). He continues to work on communication in school, but that is only a few times a week for 30 minutes, sharing time between AAC & Feeding)  So we are also looking into getting him into Speech - AAC outpatient support so he has extra practice time.

Cristiano has a BIG year coming up, he has been making many gains recently so we are hoping to build upon and help him reach his goal.   We have scheduled 3 intensives so far and could not be more excited, all three are local in NJ.

Intensive #1 - Cristiano will be doing a one-week MNRI intensive for 3 hours a day.  One hour a day will be with his current therapist and there will be two other MNRI Therapists for the other two hours

Intensive #2 - We are in the process of solidifying this one, but the outpatient therapy program he used to do with Children's specialized Hospital is starting intensives so we are looking to do this in April. This intensive will be a 4 week intensive 1 hour of PT 1 hour of OT.  We are requesting his FAV CSH  PT so fingers crossed she gets him every day!  This will be exciting because CSH directly bills our private insurance as well as his Medicaid, we haven't discussed how the cost portion will work but I am optimistic since they have already done a round or two of intensives so far.

Intensive #3 - This one we are extremely excited about because we are supporting two of our favorite people in Cristianos World, his Early intervention therapist who he LOVES and ADORES.  Cristiano has been known to work his hardest for them and they know him so well he wont be able to get away with anything (except he will definatly sucker them in for extra cuddles).  This will be 2 on 1 intensive for three weeks, which means both therapists will be working with him at the same time two hours a day, which I feel could be a game changer for us.

We are very excited for our 2025 line up this year and hope Cristiano stays happy, healthy and works hard for all of it and can achieve his goals :)  I am attaching a little post highlighting Cristianos amazing school and also his hard work.

Thank you for keeping up with us and supporting our journey through our Support Registry, where you can follow updates, lend a hand, send a meal, give money, and spread the word. Your help is appreciated!
