One week here already.

I absolutely love everyone on Harley's team. Every single person she comes in contact with shows her nothing but genuine love and kindness. They constantly remind her how adored she is and joke that she's everyone's favorite patient.

This morning, one of her EP doctors, Tyler, stopped by before his move to Idaho for a promotion to sing to Harley while playing his ukulele. It's not something he normally does, but he lost a bet to Harley, and a promise is a promise! It was such a special moment that put a huge smile on her face. We wish Tyler the very best on this new adventure. He will be greatly missed, but Idaho is lucky to have him.

Today we also met with the team and signed the paperwork for Harley's heart catheterization, which is scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. Please send lots of prayers, positive thoughts, and good vibes that everything goes smoothly. Harley will be sedated and given medication so she won't remember the procedure. She'll be down there for about two hours, and once she wakes up, we should be able to see her. Afterward, she'll need to lie flat for four hours while she recovers.

Harley also met with her cardiac psychologist today, who absolutely loved her spirit. She told us that Harley has some of the best coping skills she's seen and an amazing outlook on life. Hearing that made this mama's heart so proud.

We also received wonderful news that genetics has officially cleared Harley for transplant.

Her heart failure team continues to spend so much time with her every day. They sit and watch her magic tricks, celebrate her gift unboxings, and truly make her feel special. We are beyond grateful for the incredible people caring for her.

Tonight Harley was especially excited because her nurse is her favorite person, Tommy. Tommy's story is one that brings us so much hope. He was once a patient on this very floor as a child, enduring numerous heart surgeries before eventually receiving a heart transplant at just 8 years old. Today, he works on the same floor where he once fought his own battles. He is now celebrating 17 years with his transplanted heart.

Tommy is not only an amazing nurse but an incredible human being. He reminds Harley that there is life, joy, and hope beyond transplant. Both Tommy and his mom have been such a blessing to our family, and we are so thankful they were placed in our path during this journey.

This afternoon and evening, Harley got to spend time playing games and making Play-Doh creations with Olivia and Evie (not really cousins, but family is more than blood ❤️). We also enjoyed dinner with them. Thank you Thomas Little and Alyssa Grabowski Little. Harley absolutely loves the days she has visitors. Seeing familiar faces brightens her spirit and reminds her how loved she is.

We also had the opportunity to spend time talking with two other transplant families who have walked this road before us. One is Jerry, whom we met during Harley's last hospital stay, and today we had the chance to learn more about Aiden's journey as well. Every family we've met has helped us in different ways—offering advice, encouragement, honesty, and hope. We are so grateful for each of them and for their willingness to share their stories with us.

Thank you all for the continued prayers, messages, gifts, visits, and support. As we head into this procedure, we ask for extra prayers for steady hands, clear answers, a smooth recovery, and peace for Harley and our family.

❤️ One week down. Still fighting. Still smiling. Still believing. ❤️
