The Browning Family
Today was a quieter day, and we're thankful for that.
Harley's kidneys are looking better today, which her team believes is thanks to the Milrinone IV. There weren't many doctor visits today, so we were able to enjoy some much-needed family time.
A huge thank you to Grandma Phyllis for bringing Gracie and Amber up so they could spend the entire day with Harley. Having her sisters here always brightens her spirits.
Harley also got to start opening and enjoying some of the items from her wishlist. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent something her way. Seeing her excitement and smiles as she opens each package has been such a gift during this journey.
We were also blessed to spend Father's Day with family. Uncle Tommy and Cousin Tee came to visit, and we celebrated Hubie with some Slows BBQ delivered to the hospital. We even got to enjoy dinner together in the family lounge. Grandma Phyllis also made Hubie's favorite browniesβalthough we're pretty sure they were really for Harley. ππ«
One of the wishlist games, Don't Break the Ice, was a big hit today, and we had a lot of fun playing together.
As this Father's Day comes to a close, we want to wish all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures a very Happy Father's Day. A special shout-out to my dad, Grandpa Andy, for always being there for our family and loving his girls so fiercely.
And to Papa, celebrating his first Father's Day in Heaven, we miss you more than words can say. Losing you in February, just six days before Harley's stroke, feels impossible some days. We wish you were here with us, but we know you're watching over your girls and keeping a close eye on Harley. Your love is still felt every day, and your memory lives on in all of us. β€οΈ
Thank you to everyone who continues to share Harley's fundraiser, purchase items from her wishlist, send messages, pray, and support our family. Every act of kindness means more than we can ever express.
Harley truly loves her visitor days. The smiles, laughter, and time spent with the people she loves make these long hospital days so much brighter. β€οΈ
