Hi everyone, that was a quick surgery. What they found is exactly what we didn't want. They went in and found that the tube has been completely severed which happened in the first surgery (Tuesday 3/11). This has been causing urine to be leaking inside of him. The Urologist seems kind and knowledgeable. He called in the team and Mike will go in for surgery round 4. The plan is to run a tube from his kidneys out of his back and into a Nephrostomy bag. This will allow his urine to drain. Once Mike is strong and the severed tube heals, we can take out the tube and get rid of the bag. This would be way in the future. After we figure this out, we will move on to the collapsed left lung. We are praying that this fourth surgery works and for his strength since he has been through so many surgeries already.
