The Blick Family
Friends - this is probably the most important thing Randi and Adam are asking of everyone who loves their family:
Jonah knows that he has brain cancer. He is understandably scared. His parents have assured him that he is going to receive the very best treatment possible and that we are going to fight this and win.
That’s the only message we are sharing with our children.
We are begging everyone - Please do not speculate about his prognosis or discuss information about his cancer with your children that could find its way back to Jonah.
We want Jonah's world filled with hope. Randi and Adam want the people around him to continue treating him like Jonah—not like a sick kid. They want school, friends, laughter, sports, stupidity, normal teenage life and as much JOY as we can possibly surround him with. They do not want their home to become the sad house.
When you see Jonah, bring your normal energy. Make him laugh. Talk to him about everything you always have. Let his medical team worry about the cancer while the rest of us help protect his childhood.
