Hi Everyone. Thank you for coming here to check on me. First of all, I'd like to say how grateful I am for so much support, in so many different ways. Thank you.
Today is day 4 since my fall and I am still in a good amount of pain, but can handle that pretty good.
Yesterday, I was blessed with the gift of mobility. Catherine C. sent me all of her mobility devices from when she had her surgery not that long ago. I now have a walker, a cute red knee scooter with a furry seat pad and even a basket. And brakes!! She also shared with me a device I had never even thought about. Its an iWalk that can be used to go up the stairs. I am not sure how much I shared about my inability to climb the stairs, but it was just not possible and i resorted to the only thing I could do. This iWalk will help with this impossible task. I am attaching a photo i found online to show you this cool knee crutch. Thanks, Catherine !!
I am sleeping better now and feel like the swelling is just starting to lessen. My knee is still jammed and i am icing it off and on which helps with the tightness. I dont think I can use the iwalk or knee scooter until my knee swelling goes down as well as the tightness. I will probably wait until after I see the specialist on Wednesday so I can ask him. I don't want to damage it anymore and I currently dont know what the xrays showed except that its not broken. Unfortunately, he's a podiatrist and if there is knee damage I will have to see another specialist for that. But he can look at the xrays at least and decide the next "steps" we should take. No.pun intended. Lol.
Thank you so much for your donations of meals, cash and gift cards, but most importantly for your prayers and kind & encouraging words. You are allowing me the opportunity to rest my foot AND mind so that i may heal expeditiously and without so much worry. Thank you!! I will update on Wednesday after my appointment. Please pray I will not need surgery
