We Need Help to Face Medical and Financial Struggles

We are Sarah and Jacob, a mom and son both diagnosed with autism. Life is tough for us. I'm also dealing with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), major depression, and anxiety, which makes it hard to leave the house (that's called agoraphobia). We don’t have any family to lean on. We survived domestic violence from my parents and former spouse, and my daughter was arrested for hurting me in 2022. We are waiting on disability support, but right now, we have no money.

We are glad to have our first donation, which gives us hope! But I lost my Medicaid coverage, and I still need a test called an ultrasound to find out if I have breast cancer. This test is important because breast cancer runs in my family. I'm scared and it’s making my anxiety even worse. I've joined the Volunteers in Medicine program and hope to get a test date soon.

We reached out to local churches and support groups, but no one has offered to help yet. We are on the edge of losing everything. If you can help us, it would mean the world.
