We are thankful we were able to meet with the surgeon yesterday and affirm that Evan will need a cytoreduction surgery and HIPEC. AI gives this explanation-Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a two-step treatment for abdominal cancers that have spread to the peritoneum. First, CRS involves surgically removing all visible tumors from the abdomen. Next, HIPEC delivers a high-dose chemotherapy solution heated to 108°F (42°C) directly into the abdomen for about 90 minutes to kill any remaining, unseen cancer cells. This targeted approach helps the chemotherapy penetrate the tissue more effectively and reduces systemic side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy.

The Dr. said he will bring Evan to the brink and bring him back.

We were unable to schedule the surgery because of a missing biopsy report, but that has been retrieved and now we are waiting to hear back. We also plan to have a virtual meeting with a surgeon in Pittsburgh and asking for God’s clear guidance.

Thank you all for your love and prayers. God has brought us so much comfort through many of you. ❤️
