This past year, Teddie has faced more than most adults ever will. She’s undergone a bone marrow transplant, spent countless days in the hospital, and months in isolation. She’s missed out on playgrounds, playdates, and so many of the simple joys of toddler life.

Winning Hasbro’s Toddler of the Year wouldn’t just be a celebration of her strength and courage, it would help us give back a bit of the childhood she’s missed. The prize would allow us to create the experiences she’s had to put on hold: travel, outdoor adventures, and the everyday magic of just being a kid.

We can’t erase the trauma of her medical journey, but we can help her heal and give her more joy, freedom, memories to carry forward.

Latest update from Day 45

Teddie’s labs are stable and seem to be moving in the right direction! Her marrow is working well, and we’re seeing steady recovery in her red cells and immune system.

Chimerism update
• 100% donor in myeloid cells 💪
• 98% donor in lymphoid (holding steady)
• 100% overall donor cells (improved!)
• 0% recipient cells in myeloid 🙌

The team is keeping a close watch on her lymphoid numbers. If they don’t hit and hold at 100%, they’ll have a small immune cell boost (DLI) ready just in case. This is the area that concerns me the most since it’s where the disease originated. We want the 2% of her old cells out.

Steroids are being tapered, and her energy is high! She’s burning through snacks and always ready for an additional “little treat.” We’ve been enjoying crafts and daily tea parties complete with jokes and tattling on dad (Teddie gossip).

She’s also starting to think being home is “boring”… we keep reminding her it’s 110° out and literally no one wants to be outside anyway 😅. This weekend we decided to go all out. We camped in the living room and went swimming at her Aunt and Uncle’s house. Moments like that are healing in ways medicine can’t measure. Seeing her in the water, just laughing being a kid refilled our tank.

Teddie’s come so far.
And yesterday, we felt it. 💛

Thank you for praying, cheering, and walking this road with us. Every little step matters and we’re one day closer. 💛
