It’s been a short trip, but we managed to explore a little while we’re here. We visited the zoo! It’s open, though many exhibits are closed due to recent storm damage. Seeing the area firsthand, it’s honestly incredible that all the animals and staff made it through safely.

We also met the doctor who will perform Teddie’s upcoming procedure. Although it’s laparoscopic, it will be the most invasive surgery she’s had to date. During the procedure, one of her ovaries will be removed and cryopreserved in Pittsburgh. If Teddie ever chooses to pursue biological children in the future, small strips of the preserved ovary can be grafted onto her remaining one, restoring reproductive function. It’s remarkable what medicine can do — and we’re so grateful to have this option for her.

Please continue to hold Teddie in your hearts and prayers as we move into this next phase. We’re nervous but also hopeful.

My deepest wish is that one day, Teddie looks back at all of this and knows we did everything we could to give her a future filled with possibility and joy. No limits. We love this girl more than words can express. Thank you, truly, for surrounding her with so much love. 🎗️🧸
