🧸 Day 52
Teddie continues to hold steady and feel good, which we’re so thankful for. Her latest labs show that her bone marrow is still doing its job.

🧬 Chimerism
This part of the update comes with mixed feelings. While Teddie is still 100% donor in her myeloid cells (the part that makes red cells, neutrophils, and platelets), her lymphoid (immune) cells dropped slightly to 96% donor. That’s not the direction we hoped for but it’s still high, and her team is watching it closely.

To help push her donor cells to 100%, they’re being more aggressive with her med taper.

After transplant, immunosuppressants are needed to prevent GVHD (graft-versus-host disease). Early on, these meds are essential but now, they may be holding her donor cells back from fully taking over.

The donor lymphocyte infusion is still the plan. We’re waiting patiently to hear about the date. There’s a lot of coordinating involved, so in the meantime, we continue tapering meds as safely as possible.

Our team reassured us that this situation is not uncommon. Her numbers are still solid. And while her doctor admits she may be approaching this aggressively, she also said she wants to give Teddie the absolute best chance at staying in remission. We agree! And we’re grateful for that kind of care.

Teddie’s body is going through a lot of changes quickly but she’s still her silly, opinionated self. She’s still giving us lots of laughter and a ton of sass. I thought she had a new symptom this week… turns out she just learned to roll her eyes.

She’s got fire in her soul, and we’re sure God made her that way on purpose. Nothing about her personality is accidental; it’s all part of His design for this very journey.

🙏 Prayer requests:
▫️That her donor cells fully take over
    ▫️That GVHD symptoms are manageable
▫️For DLI to be scheduled and go smoothly
▫️For her complete and lasting cure.

Thank you for standing with us. Every message, prayer, and bit of love helps carry us through.
