🧸 Days +25 & +26 

The past two days have felt like a breath of fresh air. Teddie’s energy is coming back little by little — even with some very early mornings ( 2 a.m. wake up with Teddie 😅). She’s been more playful, more curious, and slowly getting more excited about food again. Her appetite still isn’t back to normal, but we’re seeing more interest and smiles at mealtime, and we’ll take it. 💛 

Saturday brought one of the sweetest moments of this journey: a welcome-home parade just for Teddie. 🚗💐 She soaked up the VIP treatment — waving like a little queen and even asking to cruise the neighborhood afterward, just to let everyone know: “I’m Teddie. I’m home.” 💛 It was magic. Thank you to everyone who came, and to Elissa, Jeremy, and the Conway Police Department for making it all so special and safe. 

Today (Day +26), we saw more signs of progress. Teddie’s skin has become extra sensitive — a common post-BMT effect due to chemo and immune system changes. We’re keeping her comfortable and covered, avoiding the sun completely and continuing to monitor for signs of GVHD. We also switched a medication due to intense light sensitivity; thankfully, today was the first day she didn’t complain about the light. That med may be what’s causing her insomnia, but we’re hopeful for better rest ahead. 

We’re soaking in these slow, healing days — and giving thanks for each step forward. God continues to carry us and pour joy into the little moments.

🏊‍♀️ Cleared to swim in a private chlorinated pool — as long as we avoid the sun! 
📈 First bone marrow aspiration is July 8th. Pray for no disease and that donor marrow is taking over as it should!

We’re one day closer. 💛
