Teddie’s Journey To A Cure
🍁 Teddie Update 🍁
Today marks a big milestone: six months post-transplant.
Teddie had her big Day 180 labs today, plus an echocardiogram and ECG. Her chimerism is still 100% donor, every measured cell line holding strong. 🙌
These big clinic days always remind us how much her little body has been through. Her last heart scan showed a very mild dilation (noted even before chemo), and we’re hopeful it stays stable. So many transplant meds can affect the heart, liver, kidneys, or immune system. It’s a lot for anyone, especially a child. We’re praying today’s labs stay steady as the rest come in.
This Thanksgiving feels sacred in a way we couldn’t have understood before. Last year was full of fear and isolation. This year, while we’re still cautious, we’re standing in a place we once begged God to bring us to.
We’re thankful for ordinary days, for decorating the house early, for laughter in the backyard, for the chance to gather even in a small way. We’re thankful for the science and the people who saved Teddie’s life. We’re thankful for every friend who prays us through the hard days, and for a God who continues to make a way forward.
🙏 Please keep praying with us:
▫️ For good labs, continued healing,
and steady progress
▫️ For her body to stay disease-free
and her donor cells to stay strong
▫️ For Kane, recently diagnosed with
T-cell ALL
▫️ For transplant families spending the
holidays in the hospital
▫️ And for families grieving, their
hearts are heavy on ours
Another day.
Another milestone.
Another reason to give thanks. 💛
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1
