Sunday evening update

First, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated and shared. Asking for help never comes easily, and taking this step was difficult, but your kindness has meant the world to us.

We have some encouraging news! The doctor called this evening to let us know that Stella continues to breathe entirely on her own without the trach. They will monitor her closely overnight, and we expect another update tomorrow.

In preparation for bringing her home, I ordered a stroller so we can wheel her around the house during her recovery. She is facing 6 to 8 weeks of strict bed rest, and judging by her mood this morning, she is already getting a bit frustrated by the limited mobility.
