Hi everyone!
Lenny is going on her first field trip over to Arthur Blank CHOA tomorrow for a treatment on her eye. We have been told that this treatment is given to a lot of premature babies and it should be a one time thing. It should also just be a day trip and she will return to Northside Friday night, prayerfully.
Connor and I are a bit surprised by the aspect of her having to leave the hospital but we know that the special NICU transport ambulance is equipped for this very thing. We are hopeful the staff at CHOA will be kind, informative, and care for our girl with expertise and precision.
Please pray with us today and tomorrow for these few things:
Transport team: As they move Lenny from her room, the commute to AMBH, and the return travel to Northside
The Retina Specialist: that he would see everything he is supposed to see and have no complications in delivering the treatment
Lenny: that she would feel no discomfort with being moved around, that she would do well on the commute, that she would feel no pain during the treatment, and that she would recover well & the eye doctors would see the intended improvement in her eye development in the coming weeks
Kayden & Connor: that we would surrender all fear to the Lord and that we would be encouraged by the CHOA staff.
In other news!
Lenny is 5lb 12.5oz! 😊
She is continuing to progress steadily with her respiratory support, getting stronger every day. We are so proud of her resiliency!
I will provide an update here once the treatment is complete and we are back at Northside.
Thank you for praying alongside us!
