Mastocytosis Flare/ICC Visit
Shannon Dingey
Since my visit to the ICC last week I have had nausea every time I eat. But then on Monday it got worse, I started have intermittent stomach pain, diarrhea that was bright yellow, and the nausea became constant. I woke up yesterday still nauseous and ended up throwing up. I contacted my Hematlogy Dr and she had me come into the ICC.
At the ICC they gave me IV Benadryl, IV Zofran, and IV pedcid. They calmed things down a bit but I was still symptomatic so they gave me another dose of IV Benadryl. I felt better and ate some chips to see if I could eat with out getting nauseous/throwing up but within 10 minutes after eating I got really nauseous again. They gave me another dose of IV Zofran. At this point they decided to admit me bc symptoms weren't improved.
