Dear Family and Friends...

We have been back home for almost 2 weeks now, and this past week has been so much better than the first! The journey here took much longer than expected—turning into a grueling 8-day trip instead of the anticipated 2 to 3 because traveling was incredibly hard on Shane. But we made it!

On the health front, we have some wonderful victories to celebrate: Shane no longer needs to use a cane for stability! 🎉 
Though he is still dealing with double vision, and while the right side of his face and head is still completely numb, he continues to show no signs of trigeminal neuralgia, and we are deeply grateful for that blessing! Additionally, every day, we are seeing an increase in restful sleep, strength and stamina.
He is to strictly follow the doctor's orders for the next 3 months: eat healthy, get plenty of rest/sleep, and take short daily walks to build up his strength and endurance. 
Best of all, he is enjoying spending some time in the kitchen cooking again, and most of all... TALKING! :D

There truly are NO words to express our deep gratitude for the incredible prayers and financial support we have already received. It has carried us, encouraged us, and blessed us beyond measure!

As we look ahead, we still have a mountain to climb, but we are not discouraged! We know ALL things are possible, and God is faithful! Because we were out of network, and the Marketplace Insurance pays VERY little towards the claims submitted (insurance covered $468.45 of a $54,859 bill, and $0 of an$5,942.30 bill!), it looks like our Mayo medical bills will be well over $100,000 (we are still waiting on the insurance coverage response to the $200,000 surgery bill :/). And this does not cover post surgery medical bills or the vision therapy Shane needs that is not covered by insurance. 

We are praying boldly for Shane’s double vision to correct so he can drive and return to work once he is released by the doctor in 3 months. Until then, we are continuing to pray for financial support we  we navigate these next few months of recovery and mounting expenses. Above all, your continued prayers are our greatest shield.

We have seen the Lord provide in every single way on this journey. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that regardless of what the future holds, He holds us, and we know He will supply all our needs according to His riches and for His glory! 🙌❤️
