I’ve been doing decent. Pain has been manageable. Still a lot of discomfort in my stomach and the swelling with the incision though. I’m very ready to not have staples in my head anymore. I’m managing better on my feet with walking but definitely unable to stand for long periods still. 

The surgeon removed nearly double of the current spinal fluid limit allowed by the shunt he placed - so he told us that alone will need a lot of adjustment. We also found out that they placed 2 shunts not 1. 

I’m thoroughly looking forward to the continued recovery though, as I know each day will be a little better. 

I did want to say we are so grateful for all of the meals that have come as that’s a huge weight lifted.

I won’t lie and say with holidays approaching, Jolene’s birthday on the 13th of November, and Brantley’s upcoming surgery on December 15 that I am feeling loads of stress. 

I also found out today that for some reason my entire hospital stay was denied coverage and so the thought of what the bill looks like is adding to it. 

I’m hopeful with donations it will cover the remaining balance, help with holidays, and any other stress as I recover.
