A Brief Update

In support of
Sarah Manson
View Support Registry
This morning Sarah had a PET scan and blood draw. She is in some pain because her liver is inflamed. Tomorrow she will get initial test results, IV hydration, and we are trying to get a fast tracked biopsy of her liver.

Today we are praying for pain control and treatable test results. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers and support. Thank you all. We will continue to provide updates as we know more.

Sarah, let’s just evict every little cancer cell from your so strong body! Stupid colon cancer has been effectively treated many many times and the pros know what they are doing. You will get through this with your typical grace and wisdom. Call me anytime you need some Survivor Mom energy. Meanwhile my strongest mojo is bombarding you.

Father,
Give Sarah and her family peace and comfort. We ask for your mercy, that the results would be treatable and that appointments would open up quickly. Ease her pain as she’s waiting. Let all the sickness going around the community pass over their house. Holly spirit, fill their home with your presence. Bring people to surround them with support in the way that meets their needs. Amen.

Kate. I am beyond shocked to learn of this. After we graduated high school I myself was diagnosed with stage 3b Choriocarcinoma testicular cancer at 18. It spread to both of my lungs. I was given a 50% survival rate. I’m still here today 22 years later with a family like yourself. Fight hard, be positive, build a strong family support and friends around you. I assume chemo will probably be on the table asap. Stay hydrated, be diligent about your anti nausea meds and eat whenever you can. I truly will be thinking about you and your family as someone who “understands” what it feels like to get that diagnosis, and the big thing is…kick its ass. F-ck cancer!! I’ll be following your updates and god bless!
