Today was a lot of phone calls, but Mom is doing much better today. We are pushing for more nutrient-dense liquids for the time being, given the mass that is partially obstructing her colon.
We will see an oncologist in the morning 8/19, but the colorectal surgeons we have called are booking surgeries out in September and October at the earliest. The in-network colorectal surgeon was the same surgeon who saw her 5 years ago (post-appendix rupture) and left a very bad impression with her. At this point, Mom does not feel she can handle surgery (or chemo, if recommended), even if we find a good practitioner. She weighed herself at 89 lb last week.
We are evaluating alternative treatment options and tentatively planning to be in Indiana early next week, and Mexico later in the week. Please continue to pray for wisdom, guidance, good practitioners, and healing in Jesus' name!
