Tonight Samantha had an ECMO treatment. Short version is they drain her blood through a tube, put it through a machine that oxygenates it and then puts it back in her through an artery. 
Good news is that this has lowered her CO2 levels in her blood. Yay! So, she will stay on this machine for a day or longer. Hopefully they will be able to start weaning her off of the medications keeping her sedated.
