Rowan Wallace and Family
Good morning!!
Can’t believe we are 48% of the way toward our goal for #TeamRowan in just 4 days! We’ve been so overwhelmed with gratitude.
Today I wanted to show what accessible swimming looks like for Rowan. We started with the usual floaties but as Rowan’s spasticity increased, which is common as kids with cerebral palsy grow, it became more difficult to hold him and ensure his head was safely above water. Fortunately, we were able to find a life vest for kids just like Rowan as you can see below!
Swimming is one of the few activities he can actively participate in with his siblings, and he LOVES it. We all do! His favorite thing is to splash around, and he belly laughs anytime his siblings jump in the water. We are so thankful for all the awesome equipment that has been developed for kids with disabilities.
