Hi Everyone,

Not too many updates to share this week. We had our usual therapy sessions, so just carrying on like normal. This week, Rowan will visit the doctor that is making a thermoplastic split for him to wear during the night. Our neurologist at Boston Children’s believes this will help keep his arm and shoulder from tightening up. 

While we’re still a few months away from Pediatric Stroke Awareness Month, Rowan’s name will be featured on this years t-shirt. We’re excited to continue raising awareness for pediatric stroke and help other families navigate this journey. 

In the picture shared, Rowan sat in a shopping cart for the first time and loved it! We took extra laps around the store as he was holding onto the cart with his right hand (therapy is everywhere). 

We’re only a few short weeks away from our first DMI intensive week and we’re really hoping this will help Rowan learn to go from laying to sitting on his own.
