We are now in Statesboro! A lot closer to home with a new rental to fit all of us. Yesterday was so full of driving in 3 different directions and packing and unpacking cars I definitely did not have the energy to update.
The two littles had follow up appointments yesterday before leaving Savannah. It involved some re-imaging, Sister is healing well and her slight pelvic fracture looks great. Her arm is going to need a lot of physical therapy but we did get some detailed instructions to get going on some.
The Youngest brother also is healing well on his Arm, but we have switched from a hard cast to a removable wrist brace. A to make it removable and not get wet during showers, and B because of the absolute meltdown he had during the cast removal when they went to recast it. For everyone's sanity and less fighting- wrist brace it is.
Oldest brother had some great one-on-one time with Grandpa Pat, going to a sweets shop for giant candies and ice cream. We are going to try and do some more one-on-one things with the kids as I think they are tiring each other out, as reflected in the regular bickering.
We will be reaching out on Monday to set up with an actual physical therapist here in Statesboro to get more specific exercises put together.
Sister also got her glasses back! Well, new ones. We are unsure if her old ones are still in the wrecked truck, and if they are in one piece, but new cute purple glasses are also an acceptable option. Grandpa Pat, Grandma Darcie and I took her to pick those up today and took out for Ice Cream, this one rolled.
I'm working on getting all the animals set up health wise and transported across the US, which means we are attempting to get the old 12 seater Van up and running to do so. And will also need it deeeeep cleaned as the window hasn't been rolled up since who knows, and I think the inside is almost as green as the Georgia flora. Not really an ask for help, but maybe a future ask for help on that, since we have to drive all of them it's going to be probably sooner than the kids moving, as I want to avoid icy roads as much as possible.
