Survived the first "Hurricane" aka a normal Tuesday amount of dumping rain in the PNW. It helps that it kinda missed most of Georgia entirely.
We had a bit of a bumpy start this morning, with concerns for Oldest Brother, who was running a mild temperature, we called the Dr and brought him into the ER. He got some fluids and came home by lunch time. We figured out it was mostly a combination of his pain meds and his abdominal surgery slowing his digestion down, causing some inflammation. We also had them swab his surgery site drain area to make sure that there is no underlying infection.
It has been a rough day emotionally as it does sometimes, for everyone I think.
I went over to the Twin Cities house today to care for the animals, all is well there (sorry about the reactive dogs and not getting someone closer to check on them, its a whole process to introduce strangers, sometimes it's easier just to take a breather to drive over there than introduce a whole new person)
Picked up some packages that included a small portable wheelchair ramp which will help all of us get in and out of places on the go, as well as some individual locking journals that Grandpa Pat ordered for the kids to write down some of their feelings that are too big to tell. Already the two youngest have filled out many pages. Sister got two, one for serious thoughts and one for unserious thoughts. (Duck themed of course) She also has her phone back from the things recovered, unbroken and full of excited and concerned friends. Unfortunately for her friends, a strict 9pm cut off is now in place for phone time, or I'm sure y'all would keep her awake all night. (They are still healing!! They all need rest!!)
I've been busy playing pharmacist tracking 3 med schedules, I know the cool (real)pharmacist at Walgreens pretty well after my 4th? 5th? Visit in about 2 days. But all sorted out.
Again I apologize for not updating as often. Those Nurses at the PICU were wonderful and I kinda miss having an extra 4 hands at any moment. But we will be in Savannah until the 16th, then heading over to a different week rental in Statesboro. Which means easing the Kids back in the car before a longer much more emotional trip. But we are getting there, day by day. Thank you to everyone's well wishes, it is really heartwarming.
We also should know more about upcoming Funeral/Memorial Services soon, it's just been a full time job at kid care so far. (a lot of jumping fast enough that the Youngest doesn't roll right over your toes)
