Friday was a bittersweet day for us, as Riley graduated from her hippotherapy (horse riding) program at Quest Therapeutics. We were told that hippotherapy might be a good option for her to develop her core strength, and Quest was not too far from us. She started in the program when she was 2.5 years old, and was too young to even be on a horse. Quest has been a great source of strength and confidence over the years. The staff there have been so supportive of Riley, and we have seen her improve in so many ways through her time there. For her surgery in 2023, the staff made a poster for her with pictures of them, and the horses, encouraging Riley to recover quickly and come back to see all her friends.

When her therapist told us that she'd be ready to graduate this fall, we were proud of how much Riley had done, but sad that her time there would be ending. With her surgery being pushed up, Riley's graduation had to be pushed up as well, but it was such a blessing to be there. They had party hats for everyone, even Riley's horse, and gifts for Riley to remember them. Quest has been such a bright spot in our lives these past few years, and we hope to go back when we can so Riley can visit her favorite therapists and horse friends!
